A month after moving, the couple said they believed the expenditure was worth it.In the video, they explained that moving out of their society in Bengaluru and storing their belongings cost Rs 15,000, while transporting their luggage to Goa cost another Rs 24,000.
Their road trip, including car servicing, PUC certification and petrol, added Rs 10,000 to the bill. The couple also spent Rs 45,000 on Airbnb accommodation during three weeks of house hunting. However, they excluded this amount from their additional relocation expenses, explaining that it was comparable to the rent they had been paying in Bengaluru.
Food expenses, including groceries, ordering in and eating out, amounted to Rs 12,000. They spent another Rs 5,000 on petrol while exploring houses across Goa.Setting up their new home also added to the costs.
The couple spent around Rs 9,500 on making the house functional, including setting up the air conditioner and washing machine and hiring a carpenter and plumber. Adding up these expenses, Radhika and Ekansh said their additional cost of moving from Bengaluru to Goa came to Rs 75,500."Given that people spend Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 on a five-day Goa trip, us spending Rs 75,000 to start a new life here is absolutely worth it," they said.In September, the couple had announced their decision to leave Bengaluru and build a new life elsewhere, describing it as a long-held dream.Since relocating, Radhika and Ekansh have continued documenting aspects of their life in Goa, including their house-hunting experience and the expenses involved in starting over.- Ends
