New Delhi: In a major breakthrough against economic offenders, the Central Bureau of Investigation has extradited Saurabh Chandrakar, the principal promoter of the illicit Mahadev online betting app, from Oman. Chandrakar is wanted in connection with two cases probed by the CBI and a money laundering case investigated by the Enforcement Directorate. Accused of operating a multi-crore illicit betting syndicate from abroad, Chandrakar allegedly bribed public servants to run the network seamlessly.

Following his detention in Oman and deportation to Delhi, he was produced before the Rouse Avenue Court. Authorities are taking him on transit remand to Raipur, Chhattisgarh, for further interrogation by central agencies regarding his role in the expansive illegal betting network.
