A sarcastic remark posted on social media by Texas-based tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson in 2023 has resurfaced following his tragic death in a Florida plane crash. Robinson was killed on November 1 when a private jet carrying his family and several others crashed and struck a road at high speed in Palm Beach County. All nine people on board the Learjet 60 lost their lives in the accident.

The identities of the victims were confirmed publicly days after the crash, prompting members of the tech community to revisit Robinson's online timeline. Users discovered a post from July 20, 2023, in which Robinson had responded to an online debate about software hubs with the phrase, I guess, I'm dead. The coincidence quickly gained traction across social media platforms, drawing widespread attention from peers in Silicon Valley.

The aircraft, which had departed from Austin, Texas, and was en route to the Bahamas, crashed near Greenacres. Those killed alongside Robinson included his wife, Helen Sharp, their two young children, Emma and Charlie, two family friends, a caregiver, and the two pilots, Jeff Gregory and Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board is actively investigating the crash. Investigators are examining multiple potential contributing factors, including weather conditions, turbulence, and ice accumulation, while preliminary findings suggest the aircraft may have begun breaking apart before impact.

Robinson was a prominent figure in the software and e-commerce sectors. He was best known as the founder and chief executive officer of Retention.com and RB2B, firms specializing in visitor identification tools for digital marketing. Prior to launching those ventures, he co-founded the email marketing company Robly and worked as a credit trader for financial institutions including Lehman Brothers and Barclays.
