Speakers at a training programme on solar energy at Pondicherry University. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Speakers at a two-day technical training programme have stressed on the need to accelerate adoption of solar energy technologies, particularly Concentrated Solar Thermal (CST) systems, in energy-intensive MSME sectors.The programme was organised by the Department of Green Energy Technology, Madanjeet School of Green Energy Technologies, Pondicherry University. Around 50 people representing industry and academia attended the training, Pondicherry University said in a release.The training provided a valuable platform for MSME owners, engineers, researchers and academicians to gain practical insights into CST systems for industrial process heat applications, interact with technology experts and explore opportunities for adopting solar thermal solutions in their respective sectors, the release said.
