Samsung’s next flagship series or the Galaxy S27 lineup, is expected to see a major revamp. This change is said to be not only about the major software and hardware update, which it is, but also extend to the outer design.
Unlike the Galaxy S26 series which contains three devices, reports suggest that the new S27 lineup may have four smartphones -- the standard Galaxy S27, newly added Galaxy S27 Pro, the Galaxy S27 Plus and lastly, the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The rumour mill also suggests it may come with faster processors, improved displays and upgrades in cameras.
So, if we go by the leaks, Samsung’s upcoming flagship is going to be more interesting than its traditional name.Samsung Galaxy S27 series designA few months earlier, Android Headlines revealed the CAD files of the purported Galaxy S27 series. A few days ago, they unveiled a dummy build exclusively from those CAD files, showing major changes that the South Korean giant is likely planning for the upcoming S27 lineup.

Another important thing Samsung is reportedly adding to the new models is magnetic charging or built-in magnets for native wireless charging.
The previous S models don’t have them because some say the company omitted them to keep their phones thin, while others suggest Samsung left them out because they can interfere with the S Pen. But the new models may have them as the company is moving the cameras higher, leaving room for magnets, which will help MagSafe-style accessories to connect.DisplayAccording to SamMobile, Samsung is also updating its privacy display feature, which the company introduced on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
It allows users to hide on-screen content from people looking at the phone from the side. Now the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are expected to get an improved version of the technology.
The screen sizes could also vary across the lineup. The Galaxy S27 is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch panel, while the Plus model may get a 6.7-inch display.
Interestingly, the S27 Pro could sit in between with a 6.5-inch screen. The Ultra, meanwhile, is expected to retain its 6.9-inch display.Samsung Galaxy S27 series processorsSamsung's chipset choices could make the upcoming lineup particularly interesting.
Import-export listings cited by Notebookcheck reportedly point to the Exynos 2700 powering the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus in Europe. The S27 Pro could switch to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the Ultra may get the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
All four chips are reportedly based on a 2nm manufacturing process, although their real-world performance and efficiency will depend on how Samsung and Qualcomm implement the technology. The Exynos 2700 deserves attention, too. Samsung has confirmed that it is working on a new chipset for its flagship phones.
Leaks suggest the processor could feature a 10-core CPU alongside a 16-core GPU, but its performance remains a question mark for now.Samsung Galaxy S27 series camera upgradesThe camera hardware could be another area where Samsung draws a clearer distinction between its premium phones. Both the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra are tipped to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera paired with a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor with autofocus. The telephoto hardware, however, may differ considerably.
While the Pro could feature a 10-megapixel or 12-megapixel telephoto camera, the Ultra is reportedly getting a 50-megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom. Both premium models could also feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera.Battery, software and launch timelineSamsung could give its premium models larger batteries next year.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to pack a 5,500mAh battery, while the Pro may get a 5,000mAh unit. Charging speeds could remain unchanged, with 60W wired and 25W wireless charging reportedly on the cards. On the software side, the phones are expected to ship with Android 17 and One UI 9.0.
Samsung could also continue offering seven years of software updates, keeping its upcoming flagships supported for longer. As for the launch, Samsung has yet to confirm anything officially. The Galaxy S27 lineup is expected to debut in January or February 2027, with sales following shortly after.Samsung Galaxy S27 series priceThe Galaxy S27 Pro could occupy a new price bracket between the Plus and Ultra models.
Early estimates put its price somewhere between $1,200 and $1,399, which translates to roughly Rs 1,13,645 to Rs 1,32,491.The Galaxy S27 Ultra could cost even more, although Samsung's final pricing remains unknown. Rising memory costs could also influence how much buyers eventually pay for the new flagship lin- Ends
