Some leaders alleged that polling staff had been misused at a few booths, potentially affecting the electoral process. They also felt that the party leadership and its cadre should have been more vigilant and alert during polling and counting, and that certain lapses could have been prevented had they monitored the process more closely. The leaders discussed the party’s future course of action, including the need to examine the alleged irregularities, identify organisational shortcomings and take corrective measures to strengthen the party.

The discussions also focused on the steps to be taken to rebuild the organisation and prepare for future political challenges. Published - November 04, 2026 07:14 pm IST
