DVAC arrests VAO in Nilgiris for graft

Sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on Tuesday arrested a Village Administrative Officer (VAO) in the Nilgiris for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe.The arrested has been identified as Uma Priya, VAO of Bikkatti-I in Kundha taluk in the hill district.She allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe ₹1,25,000 from a person from the district for acting on his petition seeking individual patta.
