The Cyber Police have registered a case of unauthorised access to the account of the Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences with a leading private bank in Puducherry. The case was registered following a complaint given by the college after around ₹8.5 crore got wiped out from its account in the bank.
The money was parked in the account for salary payment. A detailed probe, including a forensic audit of the account, was on to find the truth, a police officer said.
