Actors Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana served as the main showstoppers for designer Manish Malhotra's newest presentation during Lakme Fashion Week, organized in collaboration with the FDCI.

The fashion event took place on Saturday at the Taj Palace Hotel.

During the showcase, the designer unveiled his Luxury Pret collection, which introduced a contemporary take on festive and celebratory wear by blending traditional Indian artistry with sleek, modern aesthetics. The runway featured structured silhouettes highlighted by metallic touches and detailed ornamentation, marking a distinct shift from his prior presentations.

Models traversed the runway to music by Donn Bhat, displaying garments that leaned less on traditional embroidery and more on metallic finishes and decorative elements. The lineup additionally incorporated dynamic layering and fluid drapes, fusing classic silhouettes with modern touches.

The assortment primarily consisted of cropped jackets, saris, maxi skirts, off-shoulder blouses, tailored suits, and modern reimaginings of the classic bandhgala.

The color palette spanned various tones of green, ivory, blue, and pink.

For her appearance, Khan wore a floral-accented tube top paired with a draped black skirt and a matching black scarf, accessorized with emerald pieces from the designer's own fine jewelry line.

Meanwhile, Khurrana walked the runway dressed in a tailored black jacket featuring detailed silver embellishments, accompanied by a black shirt and streamlined trousers.

Explaining the vision behind the line, Malhotra noted that he aimed to investigate a fresh aesthetic for modern wear.

Luxury Pret 2026 centers on defining a modern aesthetic that feels relaxed, current, and intimate, the designer explained through a released statement, adding that his goal was to design garments that preserve traditional craftsmanship while aligning with contemporary celebration habits.

The fashion week is scheduled to wrap up on October 18 following a presentation by designer Amit Aggarwal, who will debut creations from his ready-to-wear label AM:IT.
